A Trusty Trail Companion
Lukas is a true local; born and raised in Leogang, he knows not only everyone in town but also every trail. As a certified bike guide, he takes guests on a special ride every Friday: from Puradies to Sinnlehenalm, the very place where he grew up. The route leads along the far side of Leogang – with a steeper climb and a heavenly forest trail. At the alpine hut, run by Lukas’s own relatives, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional Jause, farmer’s toast, or hearty ribs. And more often than not, there’s even a little accordion serenade to top it all off.
When I arrive at the alpine hut, it feels like coming home. Childhood memories come flooding back. It’s simply my favorite place in the world.

One of the most beautiful moments for me is standing with guests behind the hotel – mountains at our backs and a view stretching over almost the entire village in front of us.
